LUIS R. CONRIQUEZ

 

Luis R. Conriquez is one of the standout figures of the new generation of Mexican regional music, recognized for his role in the evolution of the contemporary corridos movement.

Originally from Caborca, Sonora, where he was born on February 29, 1996, Luis R. decided to fully focus on his music career after leaving his job as a gas station dispatcher. His artistic development began alongside the label K Music in December 2019, a company with which he grew professionally and of which he is currently a partner.

Between 2018 and 2019, he released his first singles, achieving steady growth on digital platforms. His track “El Búho” marked his first appearance on Billboard by reaching the Top 10 of the US Regional Mexican Airplay chart. Throughout his career, he has maintained strong chart presence and streams with songs such as “Me Metí En El Ruedo,” “Los Miré Con Talento,” “Siempre Pendientes,” “Puro Campeón,” “El Gavilán,” “Malas Rachas,” “Dembow Bélico,” “La 701,” “Sin Tanto Royo,” “Pixelados,” “Si No Quieres No,” “Martes 13,” “Que Se Cuide,” “Mexicano Soy,” and “Chula Vente.”

In addition to his work within regional Mexican music, Luis R. has explored other musical styles such as reggaeton, dembow, trap, and hip hop, incorporating urban elements and Latin rhythms into his creative proposal. With more than 300 songs released on digital platforms, he has collaborated with renowned artists such as Alfredo Olivas, Peso Pluma, Grupo Firme, Julión Álvarez, Fuerza Regida, Gabito Ballesteros, Junior H, Natanael Cano, and Netón Vega, among others.

Throughout his career, he has also been recognized for supporting new talent, helping promote emerging projects within the music scene. His trajectory reflects the international expansion of contemporary Mexican music and its adaptation to new audiences and sounds.
